TapeMate™, is a series of integrated software modules designed to keep track of Police and Law Enforcement agencies video tapes and other media.
The system utilizes barcode technology for accurate identification,traceability, and accountability.It has been designed with the Microsoft platform, which runs virtually on any desktop PC or Local Area Network.

System Overview
TapeMate™ is a PC based, easy to use, and user installed. Individual tapes are barcoded, scanned and uploaded into the PC for complete tracking.
Inventory module tracks tapes used in the police patrol cars. It captures Patrol Car identification; Officer ID; beginning and ending shift.
Issue/Return performs a function of the check in and check out of tapes assigned to a patrol vehicle.
The Duplication module keeps track of any tape duplicated for additional operational functions.
Audit Trail and Custody Chain are management tools to report the status of tapes being reviewed when used in the patrol vehicles.
All the transactions are time and dated stamped, the system user ID is also appended to all transactions.
Historical data is stored automatically upon completed transactions such as inventory, issue, return, and duplication. The historical data is not alterable by the user.
The batch portable data collection capabilities of TapeMate™ allows the user to conduct tape inventories, and issue and return remotely from the PC. The portable terminal is equipped with barcode scanning as well as an alphanumeric keyboard for manual entry.
